Sacramento County Conflict Criminal Defenders Office (CCD) provides legal representation to those charged with criminal conduct who are financially unable to retain counsel. The Sacramento Superior Court appoints Conflict Criminal Defenders when the Public Defender cannot provide representation because of a conflict of interest or insufficient staff.

Conflict Criminal Defenders provide​ representation to our clients by assigning private attorneys. Many of whom have experience as former Assistant Public Defenders or Deputy District Attorneys.

The principal objective of Conflict Criminal Defenders is to provide zealous and effective representation in a cost-effective manner.​

Office hours and access to building:

The CCD office will be open Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. However, t​he Court Plaza Building in which we are located will be keeping their front doors locked, so please contact staff to gain access to CCD.
